Welcome To Christ Church, Lancaster
The work of Christmas
When the song of the angels is stilled,
When the star in the sky has gone,
When the kings and princes have gone home,
When the shepherds are back with their flocks,
The work of Christmas begins:
To find the lost,
To heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To rebuild the nations,
To bring peace among people,
To make music in the heart.

Welcome to our church which is a group of people of all ages and backgrounds who worship God as part lively and serving church. Our Mission Statement is that we are a vibrant inclusive worshipping community!
Vibrant because we are lively and enjoy laughter!
Inclusive because anyone is welcome irrespective of age, gender, relationship history, sexuality or ethnicity.
Worshipping because we believe that God is good and is to be praised.
And finally community, because we are committed to each other and the wider community. Our worship may look a little traditional but the preaching, teaching and welcome is 100%modern!
In the winter months we run the city’s only open-access homeless shelter, 7 days a week from November until March. Can you make mugs of tea and chat to people? Contact the Vicar on the email address below.
We have male and female clergy so there’s always a confidential person to talk to.
Our Sunday services are:
8-30am Said communion service lasting about 25 minutes
10-30am Our main service, with Children’s Church, sometimes a choir, always a thought provoking sermon and warm welcome.
6-00pm Like the 8-30 service, a short communion at the end of the day.
At these services anyone who is baptised, or in good standing with their own church, is welcome to receive communion.
